by Eugene Yeng on May 5, 2011

The reasons for child obesity and its emotional effects are wide but near. Most of the answers come from home and school, the two places that are close to a child heart. Suicidal thoughts and depression are the more common effects that you will find with a child that is facing obesity. However these are not the only thing that they go through. These are a few of many.

If you have ever seen a large child you tend to normally wonder why are they so big. Most might say its from: lack of love and support at home, parents who do not care, or simply kids being sloppy. These can be the reasons, but the truth of the matter is it generally is much deeper than that. It is also something you can not put a label on. There are many reasons why children are large at such a young age. They can range from their weight as a first born to the way their raised, school, life and even lack of exercise. Giving them weight loss tips would be a better idea than trying to make fun of or figure out how they reached the weight that they are at.

The way of life for each person plays a great deal on their weight and emotional or mental stress. The majority of those who are heavily over weight, do not have a very active way of life. They may spend hours playing games, sleeping, watching television and just being lazy. Some children with weight loss problem also tend to eat when they are bored, and not just when they are hungry. This causes fat to build up and not be burned throughout the day.

Vending machines in the schools play a huge role in the younger demographic being over weight. When they are in a school for almost half of their day and surrounded by junk food, it is difficult to turn it down. These vending machines tend to have high fatty and high sugar foods loaded inside of them which makes any chance of a healthy meal go out the window. It is easier to pick up something from the machine than wait in a long breakfast line for healthier food.

Depression is one of the main emotional effects that comes along with children who are over weight. This is for many reason but one main reason is the foods they eat actually make them more depressed. Foods full of sugar and saturated fat like those you would find in fast food places affect your brain for the worse. When you consume large amounts of sugar, your body and mind get depressed when it is gone until you get more, this is a vicious cycle which keeps kids depressed and fat. Their depression also comes from being ridiculed about their weight by peers, strangers and sometimes even friends and families.

Being ridiculed by so many peers, strangers, friends and families brings depression into play. Depression brings suicidal thoughts into play and eventually actions for some people These children also face suicidal thoughts from the negative things they hear from everyone. From the fat jokes, to being isolated and people telling them to kill themselves, all lead to suicidal thoughts which ruin the emotional well being of a child.

To stop such terrible thoughts, depression and emotional harm that is done to obese children is to help stop the problems that are causing it. For starters helping them eat right, exercise and lose weight tips are important to bring happiness and health back into their life. A weight loss review or a diet journal can be made to help keep these children on track with their weight and losing it. Going from white flour to wheat flour and whole grains, consuming more fruits, fish and vegetables, and exercising regularly can help. Exercise releases endorphins which make you happy and bring energy into ones life.

Many reasons for child obesity and its emotional effects surrounds the way of life of these kids. The things they eat, the attitudes they have and the exercise that they have or lack. Adding more exercise into their daily lives, more fruits and vegetables, fish, beans, vitamin B and less of the sugar and white flour will be very beneficial. Take out the refined carbohydrates, the processed foods and high saturated fats in fast food and you are looking at less depression which is less suicidal thoughts.
